Jo's Hotel Room, After The Reception.

Happy and more than a little giddy from the champagne, Jo tugged on Luke's hand as she got the door open. "After you."

That was only polite after all.

"I don't have to buy you any for a while?" he replied, running his hands up the sides of her dress.

"Not quite," Jo said, sliding her hands up under his shirt. "Ask someone tomorrow."

Luke was having a hard time trying to string words together, especially when she was doing that sort of thing. So remembering something for tomorrow might be a tall order.

"Okay," he said anyway, fumbling at the zipper. Which could've been the champagne, but was pretty much just Luke.

Jo made happy, encouraging sounds as she somewhat clumsily started tugging his shirt off.

Luke helped, tugging the shirt over his head and tossing it away, where it slid behind the television.

"Now your turn," he said, putting up a valiant fight against the straps of her dress.

It took a few moments to work out how exactly to get back out of it, but Jo was very shortly stepping out of her dress.

Luke let out an appreciative whistle.

Because he was possibly the biggest dork in two galaxies.

This didn't lead to Jo blushing or anything. Really.

"You are so beautiful," Luke stammered.

Jo grinned and nudged her nose against his. "So are you."

Luke tugged her by the hand and toppled them onto the bed.

It was almost a miss--champagne and depth perception didn't mix.

Jo laughed and kissed him. "We're not vertical."

She felt that was a very important statement to make.

"Gravity reversed itself," he told her solemnly.

"It did?"

"Just for a second," he said. "I think we're safe now, but we should probably get under the covers to be sure."

"And lose the pants," Jo suggested. "I hear gravity is attracted to pants."

"I've heard that too," Luke said, fighting a losing battle with a giggle fit. "And bras."

"Not bras?" Jo asked in horror. No really, horror, ignore the giggling.

"Gravity hates clothing," Luke said, stripping down and pouncing on her. "It's sad but true."

Jo was quite happily pounced. "How terrible."

"It really is," Luke said, then decided to kiss her before he could continue his random babbling.

Jo smiled into the kiss, smoothing her hands up his back.

Luke let out a happy sigh and feeling pretty bold with the potent combination of a darkened room and a lot of champagne, let his hands do some exploring.

With a number of soft, happy sounds, and the occasional giggle, Jo thought that returning the favour would be a very fine thing indeed.

Luke, with only sporadic fits of laughter, began dropping kisses on the bits of skin he could reach.

Then moved a little lower. There was lots of skin tonight.
