Room 414, Wednesday Morning

Coming slowly awake, Jo realised that something was wrong. She wasn't quite sure what, just that something was.

Like the bed was smaller, and her clothes were tighter.

And her chest was...flatter.

Frowning, she lifted up the sheet.

"The hell?"

Luke leaned into kiss her without thinking and got about halfway there. "Um. Thanks."

Jo smiled and briefly bumped her forehead against his. "You're welcome."

"Yeah, this is strange," Luke admitted.

"Don't worry, I'll be back to normal before you even notice, I'll bet."

"It's Fandom," Luke said. "It'll wear off."

Beat.

"I hope."

"Look on the bright side, if it doesn't, the look on your dad's face will make everything worth it."

He burst out laughing. "One more shock might kill him," he said.

"I'm sure he'd embrace us with open arms," Jo said, in as innocent tone as she could manage.

It worked better when her voice hadn't dropped.

Luke laughed harder. "He's known for his flexibility, after all."

Jo nodded. "Oh totally."

"And his sense of humor," Luke said, snickering.

"He's the cool, mellow type."

Luke was beginning to get a stitch in his side from laughing so hard. "He really is. Bet he writes poetry in his spare time."

"I have it on good authority that sometimes he wears a beret and gives recitals."

"He's an amazing tap dancer," Luke made up.

"He's going to be directing a musical over the summer."

"Which he wrote himself," Luke said, nodding. "In Pig Latin."

"With a kazoo orchestra."

"Of chipmunks."

"With a squirrel bass section."

"And some ducks with triangles," Luke said, snickering more. "I love you."

"I love you too," Jo replied. "You think a gremlin string section would be too much?"

"I think they might be a little hard to train," Luke said thoughtfully. "Maybe he could get Artoo to do it?"

"Artoo would be the conductor," Jo decided. "Keep them in line."
