Room 414, Tuesday Morning

Having handed in her knives and received her room key, Jo made her way up to her new dorm room. Tossing her duffel onto the bed closest to the window, she started pulling out the supplies she needed to ward the room.

What? Just because Mom didn't want her hunting didn't mean she hadn't taught her that much at least.

"At least some them should," Jo said. "Like Professor Winchester."

Nope. Henry had no idea about who she was talking. He looked up from the sweater vests and asked, "Who is he?"

"The Hunting teacher," Jo replied.

Henry didn't like the sound of that one bit. A hunting teacher that uses magic?
"For what would he need that?" Henry cautiously asked. "Hunting magical creatures?"

"Supernatural," Jo said. "Ghosts, demons, monsters."

To an observer, Henry might have looked a little pale. Or maybe it was just a trick of the light.
"Oh. Is there much call for a supernatual hunter around here?"

"Don't know about call, but there's a couple of them here."

“Well, it’s good to know that there are people that can keep us safe.” Henry tried to steer the subject into safe waters. “I don’t know that many new students know the names of their teachers. Are you thinking about taking that class?”

Jo nodded. "Yeah, he and my daddy used to be friends."

Henry catches the “used to,” and knows better than to push the subject.
Unfortunately, Henry’s run out of conversation starters. Well, except for “Read any good books lately,” but that is amazingly not an option.
