If you'd asked her yesterday morning, Jo would have said that she'd reached a point where Fandom couldn't surprise her any more.

Then her dad had shown up, and suggested she and Edmund go to dinner with him.

Mom had never mentioned he was so good at interrogations.

She showed her appreciation by moving to remove her own pants. They were in the way of nakedness after all.

His stomach did a flip and any remnants of grumpiness had been thrown out the window as he tried to fight back a grin. He succeeded by swallowing hard and moving to climb on top of her and guide her back against the mattress. "Terrible influence," he murmured.

"You like me anyway," Jo replied with a grin, nipping at his chin.

"You seem very sure of that," Edmund replied. He followed it up with a kiss that was tender and passionate and intended to show just how much he did like her. He was getting quite good.

Jo obviously agreed, given the soft, pleased sounds she was making. She was in something of a playful mood so she did her best to flip him onto his back.

He hadn't been expecting the move, but recovered from his surprise quickly and found himself on his back, torn from the kiss and looking up at Jo. Edmund rested his hands on her hips and looked at her with a mixture of expectation and surprise.

Jo smirked and bent down to kiss him, rocking her hips slowly.

With her moving like that, he wasn't much use when it came to returning the kiss. His moan was muffled and his eyes had rolled back in his head because of how incredible that felt. Edmund's hands roamed from Jo's hips to her back and up and to the front to cup her breasts as his hips jerked upwards towards her.

Which more or less did for Jo's smirk. She pressed closer against him, her head falling back as her hips rocked faster and harder.

Edmund slammed his head back against the pillow. He tried to get into a rhythm with her. This was definitely underhanded and really, he thought, they should argue more often if it meant her taking control of the situation like this and there were dozens of remarks he wanted to make, but only incoherent noises were coming out.

Incoherent was good, also incredibly flattering if Jo had been able to focus on anything other than what she was doing right now. Back arching as she rocked, she dipped her head to bite along his collarbone.

While one hand slid back down to the small of her back, the other went to the side of her face, caressing her hair and cheek. His breathing was getting shorter and ragged.

Eyes sliding closed, her movements almost frantic, Jo moaned his name.

Both hands were now at her hips, urging her on as he could feel himself getting closer and closer. He didn't make any secret of it either.

Jo groaned and shuddered, bracing her arms against his shoulders as her hips ground down against his.

"I can't," Edmund started, then switched to, "I'm going to-" but that too was cut short as his whole body tensed suddenly and his breath caught in his throat.

Jo bit off a moan as her body gave one final shudder and she collapsed against him.

Edmund let himself relax and rest his head back. He kept his arms wrapped around her, hands lightly placed on her back. "Thank you."

Jo laughed and pressed her face against his neck. "You're welcome."

He pressed a kiss into her hair. "Pretend I said something romantic there instead."

Jo stretched out beside him, grinning lazily. "But politeness is terribly romantic."

He shifted to put his arm around her and still let both of them rest comfortably. "Then pretend I didn't try to rework what I actually said."

"Okay," Jo replied agreeably. "And after all that we didn't even use the cuffs."

He reached over and picked them up from where they were resting on the bed. "This time," he said, suggesting that they still had plenty of time to do whatever strange things in bed that she wanted. "It's still early. Do you want to go see him? Without me, I mean. Without the boyfriend death glare."

"I will tomorrow," Jo said after a moment. "He has to go in the evening, but we can still spend the day together."
