Room 414, Wednesday Morning

Coming slowly awake, Jo realised that something was wrong. She wasn't quite sure what, just that something was.

Like the bed was smaller, and her clothes were tighter.

And her chest was...flatter.

Frowning, she lifted up the sheet.

"The hell?"

[open. especially to anyone who might have a reason to be there]

"Right," Jo said. "Comfortable. Comfy's good."

Luke smiled and handed the clothes over. It felt like Jo in the Force--the essential herness that made her so unique--it was just the packaging that had changed.

"You have silly hair," he teased.

Jo grinned as she started getting changed. "Well, you'd know," she teased back.

"You love my hair," Luke said, grinning and moving closer.

The weirdness was starting to wear off a bit.

"Oh, totally," Jo agreed. "It's very hip."

"It's a huge hit in Cool class," he said, reaching out to ruffle Jo's hair.

Jo ducked and reached over to return the favour. "Starting a trend?"

"Totally," Luke made up, snickering. "Everyone wants to be a Skywalker."

"Everyone?"

"You don't want our massive issues and amazing lightsabers?"

"Can I just get the lightsabers?"

Luke laughed. "I'll ask, but I'm pretty sure the answer's no."

"The angst powers the things?"

"Funny," Luke said, wrinkling his nose at her. "It's a Force thing. I'd offer to take mine apart and show you, but all of the sudden, that sounds incredibly dirty."

Luke had just now noticed the euphemistic possibilities of a lightsaber. Sigh.

Jo held up her finger and thumb about an inch apart. "Just a little."

"And normally, that wouldn't bother me with you," he said with a grin. "Today...it would take some getting used to."

Which didn't mean it was ruled out.

"Don't worry, I don't have any designs on your lightsaber right now." Not until she was used to the new anatomy at least.

"That's strangely reassuring," Luke admitted.

"Scared mine might be longer?"

Luke frowned. "No."

This was not going to end well.

"I mean, it's no reflection on you if I am," Jo said. "Just one of those things."

"Uh-huh," Luke said, raising an eyebrow. "I suppose you should go check."

"I'll do that," Jo replied, smirking.

"And then you'll lie to me and say how we're totally the same," Luke teased.

"Naturally," Jo said. "Don't want to bruise your ego."
